Dr. Lori Lutz
Dr. Lori Lutz fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian when she graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. She worked at Marietta Animal Hospital before founding Ohio Valley Veterinary Hospital in 1996.
Dr. Lutz is a member of the AVMA and a founding board member of the Practitioner’s Advisory Board to the OSU Veterinary Medical Center. She is also a past president of the SEOAVM, a past board member of the OVMA, and a past board member of the College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society. In addition to being active in the community, Dr. Lutz enjoys
providing compassionate care to her patients and practical guidance to their owners. In 2021 Dr. Lutz became certified in veterinary acupuncture so she can offer the very best in alternative medicine in addition to conventional practice.
In her free time, Dr. Lutz enjoys spending time with her family, supporting her two daughters with their many activities, and caring for her many rescued pets. She is a very dedicated Ohio State Football fan and may just bleed scarlet and grey. Go Bucks!!
Dr. Megan Strahler
Dr. Megan Strahler is an avid life-long learner, which is why she loves being a veterinarian! Dr. Strahler helps her patients return to health using various tools including conventional medicine and surgery as well as acupuncture, and herbal medicine. She is also a strong proponent of preventive care and wellness through proper nutrition, exercise, and supplementation when needed.
Dr. Strahler graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and from Ohio University with a BS in Biological Sciences and a BA in English Literature in 1998. She received her CVA (Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist) certification in 2015 and CVCH (Certified Veterinary Chinese Herbalist) certification in 2017. She joined the Ohio Valley Vet team in 2021 after moving back to the area from Dayton, Ohio.
In her free time, Dr. Strahler enjoys teaching yoga and tending her ever-expanding garden of medicinal and culinary plants. She and her family live in Waterford, Ohio. Her three boys carry on the Waterford Wildcat and the OU Bobcat traditions!
Lynette Knoch RVT
Lynette Knoch RVT is an extremely talented and experienced licensed veterinary technician. She grew up on her family farm in Lowell, Ohio, and is a proud Fort Frye High School graduate. She received her associate degree in veterinary technology from Columbus State Community College and joined Ohio Valley Veterinary Hospital at its inception in 1996.
Lynette is passionate about providing the very best in patient care. She is particularly interested in safe anesthesia and pain management and has a keen interest in nutrition and weight management. Continuing education classes and seminars are a priority for Lynette so she can provide the most up-to-date information regarding therapeutic options for her patients.
You can find Lynette spending time with her human family and her furry children, Hazel the Elkhound and Karl, Troy, and Frank, the fantastic feline trio!
Cynde Leeper
Cynde is our client service representative extraordinaire! Cynde was born and raised in Lower Salem, Ohio, and joined Ohio Valley Veterinary Hospital in 2002. She truly enjoys welcoming our patients and their people into the extended OVVH family!
In her free time, Cynde enjoys spending time with her three daughters and their families including five grandchildren and many furry rescued pets. She particularly enjoys doing crafting projects and cooking with her grandkids.
Alexis Johnson RVT
Alexis Johnson RVT joined the OVVH team in the Spring of 2023. She loves her job as a veterinary technician and is exceptional in providing compassionate care to our patients. She heralds from the wonderful town of Beverly, Ohio, and is a Fort Frye Cadet. Alexis graduated with her veterinary technology degree from The Veterinary Technician Institute of Bradford in 2012.
Alexis is particularly enamored of our feline friends. She loves helping senior cats live their best lives through lifestyle enrichment, pain management, and wellness monitoring.
In her free time, Alexis loves to visit the theatre and create handmade cards and ornaments. She lives in Marietta with her husband and their favorite furry child, Squirticus.
